Name: Trixie Lulamoon
Canon: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
OU/AU/OC: Original Universe
Canon Point: After Magic Duel (Headcanon'd to after Magical Mystery Cure)
History:
Trixie Lulamon was born from two unicorns. At a young age, she found that the stories she heard from her parents were entertaining and wanted to emulate them. She tried copying the stories she heard, but she barely remembered them, and others thought they were bland and uninteresting. Trixie found herself disappointed that no one liked the stories she liked. She was a little dejected, but began to experiment with different types of stories, from poems to short aesops to many other different things.
This went on for a while with little success. But one day, in the middle of the day, she was telling a made-up story about herself saving per parents from an evil storm cloud. The story was boring to her small audience of about 3 or 4 fillies and Trixie was struggling to keep them from leaving. But when she talked about beating the evil storm cloud, someone that was nearby had decided to play with fireworks. One of the fireworks wandered near Trixie and her small audience and went off with a bang.
This shocked all of them, but immediately after, Trixie's tiny audience began cheering, thinking that that was part of her show. She saw that that was what they enjoyed and went on to ask her parents if they could buy any fireworks. It took some convincing, but they eventually caved, and her next story was the same self-insert over-the-top style of story, but this time she incorperated the dazzling fireworks into her stories, and the audience loved. That was when she found her niche AND cutie mark.
Life went on for her and she practiced storytelling amd more magic to add flair to her shows. When she was old enough, per parents bought her a magic show/cart for her to live in. Trixie thanked them and went on her way, aiming her sights to become the most famous equine in all of Equestria with her stories. Originally, she could barely find any work for herself, only getting small tips in a few bits and stuff. But as she got better at storytelling and enticing magic tricks, her ego grew, along with her conficence, fame, and loner attitude, as did any hecklers she had. She quickly came up with a way to deal with them by embarrassing them into shutting up, and had forced herself to expand her magic beyond that of magic that only adds to her stories
She slowly made her way up to small towns, and was eventually hired by the Mayor of Ponyville to entertain them for a week. She set up stage in the town square and had begun her storytelling act. Unfortunately, before she got started, a group of four ponies and a dragon began to heckle her. She rounded up Little Haystack, dazed Spin Cycle, and demoralized Rat Nest before intimidating a purple unicorn into leaving.
She was then free to go about her show, illustrating a tale of herself defeating a dreaded Ursa Major. She had gained two enthusiatic admirers with her show. Later, the two admirers approached her with a smoothie and pleas for more tales. Trixie brushed them off, not really wanting to do any more stories that day. Little did she know, she would see those two again at night. They had come knocking frantically on her door, bringing along with them an Ursa Major.
Her admirers had bought it just for her, and that changed the perception of them from enthusiastic little admirers to complete dimwits. Trixie attempted to take down the Ursa Major, twice, but failed. She only had flair to her repitoire. Then she saw that same purple unicorn from her show subdue and defeat the Ursa Major, right in front of her eyes.
She was completely baffled as to how that purple unicorn could have such power, the power she said herself that she had. he was even more baffled when she learned that the Ursa Major was actually an Ursa MINOR. Quickly attempting to salvage her reputation, she dismissed the idea of the purple unicorn being able to outmatch her and quickly ran off to try and get to the next town to halt any rumors of Trixie being weak. She left behind her home, her stage, her cape, and her hat.
Trixie had failed. Everywhere she went, she was laughed out of town, her reputation in ruins. Unable to get any money by performing, she had no idea what to do. She wandered Equestria until she happened upon a rock farm. The owner of the Rock Farm, which may or may not be Pinkie Pie's father, agreed to let her work on the farm for money. There, she learned a thing or two on rocks, such as their quality, rarity, and worth. However, she was unhappy with her job. She was in danger of becoming depressed as her life goal went unfulfilled.
She ran away from the rock farm, hiding herself in a black cloak. She felt she needed to get her life back on track. To do that, she wandered around town, gathering as many rumors as she can for her quest. She eventually learned of The Aliorn Amulet and how powerful it could make someone. She reasoned that if she had that, she could beat the pony who had bested her in magic: The Sparkled One. She stole enough money to pay for it and burst into the shop, searching for it. The Shopkeeper appeared, and quickly sold the amulet to her.
She put it on and eagerly rushed back over to Ponyville, but her plans were already ruined by the time she got there. The amulet had already began corrupting her to the point where she had decided to banish The Sparkled One from Ponyville. She forced the purple mare into a Magic Duel and won, banishing Twilight and enslaving Ponyville. Overtime, she got more and more corrupted. Her sanity was also eroding, not trusting wheels anymore.
Eventually, she was challenged to another Magic Duel by Twilight, who was now wearing a myterious amulet said to increase her power. Trixie would have declined, but even though she was corrupted, she still had her pride. She wouldn't allow anyone to claim she was as great and powerful as she was, so she would beat her in another magic duel in front of a crowd... and then make an example of what would happen to those that opposed her rule. Sadly, that wasn't to be, as she witnessed Twilight doing age spells, dupliation spells, and even turning a mare into a stallion.
Trixie couldn't believe her eyes. She believed that the amulet Twilight was wearing was even more powerful than the one she was wearing, so she tore it off the purple unicorn's neck and put it on herself, declaring that she was going to take over Equestria. She was tricked once again as the amulet was revealed to be nothing but a doorstopper and her friends aiding her in doing all the spells she had seen her do.
Ashamed and humiliated once again, Trixie ran away to a secluded spot in Ponyville and cried. During her crying, she realized just how horrible she treated everyone and was horrified with herself. She felt guilty, so she did what she had to to relieve as much guilt as she could: She aided Twilight in a magic show and apologized for her actions. Once Twilight acepted the apology, Trixie had gained a new resolve to attempt her magic shows again. She ran off, tripping. After a small breakdown regarding herself ruining her grand exit, she picked herself back up and went off to perform again.
Personality:
The first thing anyone would notice about her is that she likes to brag. A lot. She'll constantly hype up her own abilites and exploits in order to make herself look better. She has many ways of doing this, mostly trough simple bragging. But when the situation calls for it, she'll weave up fantastic stories of her performing spectacular feats, such as defeating an army of manticore or an Ursa Major. She's so arrogant, she speaks in third-person.
However, despite all of her arrogance and bragging, she really cares about the stories she weaves. She always attemptsd to make them as entertaining and enticing as possible so as to not bore anyone. Her job IS storytelling. However, if she encounters hecklers who dislike her stories, she's quick to challenge and embarrass them, usually using her competition's material against them for added humiliation. She does this to quickly shut them up so she can tell stories to make money.
For added effect, she uses her magic heavily when storytelling. She relies on dazling and entertaining types of magic, such as illusions and fireworks. She practices as much as she can with showy magic so that she can be a better showmare. However, she practices showy magic so much, that she's barely any good with practical magic, such as teleporting and cloudwalking spells. She's practiced so much with the spells she knows that she can do them without any sweat.
Her personality also goes much deeper than one would expect, but it would probably be rare to see anything but a showmare storyteller who cares about her stories and brags a lot. She cares about her stories because she's trying to become famous. She's so arrogant because she wants to make herself look better in everyone's eyes because of her dream of becoming a legend. Because she wants to be remembered, she makes sure not to drive off potential business partners.
she also shies away from commiting any truly heinous acts, such as murder and kidnapping. She's a pascifist and always attempts to make everything she does non-lethal. She'll even stand up to those that hurt others just for fun and attempt to humiliate them into stopping. But such situations are rare, so she usually is just the bragging show-off everyone sees her as. And while she always hypes herself as being fearless, she usually gets scared by intimidating monsters who can easily overpower her. She'll also drop the arrogance when she has no other way but to tell the truth, also reverting back into first-person.
However, she's a big loner and doesn't usually accept help from anyone. She always wants to do things herself, no matter how hard it is. She does so because she thinks getting help to attain her dream of becoming world-renowned is cheating. She intentionally distances herself emotionally from everyone so they don't try and help her. This may make her prideful, but she'd still rater attain her goal herself than with anyone's help.
Due to recent events, she feels guilty. She feels that she crossed her own line and would be more willing to help others and make amends. She's completely terrified of her reputation being ruined and will always try her best to keep it.
Strengths:
Trixie's magical strength is more powerful than most unicorns. If most unicorns were a 5 or 6, Trixie would be a 9. She's able to use her magical abilities well due to extensively practicing the spells she has. She's able to cast different spells simultaneously and efficiently.
Weaknesses:
Most of the magic spells she has aren't really that practical and much more showy in order to enhance her magic shows, so she really isn't the most useful of unicorns. Her repitoire is also more limited due to the amount of practice she puts into every new spell she learns, which is a lot. If Trixie's magical strength is a 9, Twilight's would be over 20.

[There's no going back now. Trixie hits the switch to unfold her cart into a stage.
Come and see the amazing magic of The Grrrreat and Powerful...
[She summons a smoke flash on the stage, glitter accompanying it. Before it can fully disappear, the showmare runs into the smoke so it looks like that's how she teleports. She looks at the number of ponies in her auience. She eels that it's less-than-satisfactory. That'll change in the future. She rears up, posing theatrically.]
Trrrrixie!
[This is the part where fireworks shoot up from the roof of the stage, She'll dazzle her audience for sure.]
Third Person:
She couldn't believe it. She refused to believe it. She knows how rumors get twisted, so why should she believe it? After all, why in Equestria would somepony from the backwater village known as Ponyville be granted the title of princess? The Sparkled One certainly hadn't done anything to deserve it. Her first visit to Ponyville proved that The Sparkled One had enough power to beat an Ursa Minor.
But Trixie thought a lot of magical power wasn't enough to become a princess. No, it took so much more. Stuff that Trixie thinks she has. She's never given up. Not even on the rock farm did she give up. She only had a temporary yet extended setback. Putting on the Alicorn Amulet was also a setback, as her goals were corrupted. While she was glad that The Sparkled One had tricked the amulet off of herself, that still wasn't enough to become an Alicorn.
Trixie will become famous. She'll be remembered long after her death. Constellations and countless books will be made for her, preaching just how great and powerful she is. Students in schools will learn of her many impressive and dazzling feats. She'll be as legendary as Starswirl the Bearded.
But first thing's first. She needs to actually win back her crowd again. She'll need a crowd that doesn't laugh at her or vandalize her cart. Maybe she can teal the Amulet back and try to find a way to keep the power without the corruption? Thinking back, she could have made herself into an Alicorn whilst she was wearing the corruptive amulet. She had shown Equestria she wasn't as great and powerful as she says she was, so maybe she can start small? Tell tales of her defeating simple creatures?
...No. Trixie is Great and Powerful. She'll show the whole world who she is, and then she'll be made a princess. And she'll prove to the world that The Sparkled One is not a princess. Getting up, a determined glint in her eye, she sets off for the third time her destination: Ponyville.
